Garden - Phase 1

Good, a blog is like our garden, must be dealt with and regularly ...
I confess to having the big lazy past few weeks about this.
But whether ...
is now tackling the garden, or rather to land that will one day become a garden
:-) I signed up to a 3-day course on composting. It's Flemish broadcaster VLACO and organize this joint. It's free and the course is very well documented and given.
So I redesigned our composter as it should because it is not compost much! ;-).
So to summarize the story, structuring a layer of brown (O2) in the bottom 15 cm to drain, aerate, and especially to let the critters go.
Then successively, layers of green waste (N2) and brown alternately as chopped possible.Plus of entire branches after this step because it does composting not for several years! The ideal is to get a chopper. Ours comes from Makro and we listen + / - 150.00 € and works very well.
must also watered when the assembly is too dry and ventilate by stabbing in three places and this 1-2 times a week. Never turn or mix in this type of composting. The
corny, they come by themselves and a sign of "good" compost is the presence of millipedes! (Like the fact that it reminds me of the need to water our)
and now, after a year we have our compost! (And not two or three years as a florist wanted me to believe ...)
Here, only when a garden it is preferable according to its size, use compost bins should get on with it soon.
