Lombardi Trophies For Sale

Characters neighborhood (by Pierre-Luc)

Our trip is Bolivian land is mostly due to meetings. Let me now pleased to introduce you to those that punctuate our daily orurénien.

First is Carmen, who holds a small tienda nearby our house. Children love to go see every day to make purchases based milk, egg (sometimes with a few feathers and a few grains of straw!) And sweets! It is through the floor of his door (we can also cross) that addresses her by going there with a "Buenos dias señora Carmen." You hear it happen then, limping and dragging slippers before going to his best smile.

There is also this other tienda on the corner of the street we go for beer! The owner is very nice Angelica, especially since I gave him back his bottle. It should be understood that here, the big bottles of beer are "recorded", but it is essential that the bottle back to his owner! Imagine the drama while after a dinner with friends, I forgot the bottle. As soon as I walked before his tienda, she was sympathetic to "MY BOTTLE!". He has had to take place two weeks before I make him this famous bottle. Needless to say my tricks were so many so desperate to avoid his calls: replace street side, not the press, looking straight ahead and pretended not to hear Bridget say: "Dad, the lady speaks to you !.

I finally made the bottle to his owner and since then the relationship is rosy. Although she sometimes tries to climb the price! There is also

Enrike, the taxi driver. Always punctual (which is rare here) it will be, look, wear and seeking children to school each day. He is a patient and courteous driver (this is also rare here!). Small and a bit heavy colas, round face punctuated by a few hairs of beard, he seems unable to hurt a fly. Yet his nickname, "Piedra" (stone), conceals a surprising past national champion of boxing! Last week, moreover, he told us that he used his skills in Cochabamba knocker for a thief to cell. Today he sports a swollen right hand ... while his opponent, in the words of Enrike, sporting a broken nose!

There is Helena, who every Monday Wednesday and Friday just to give a boost to the household. It is often accompanied by her daughter Evelyn, who has since become a good friend of children!

But there is primarily Jorge and Anna-Maria, the owners of the house. They live with us almost on the same property. They are our neighbors, our advisors, our friends, our grandparents Bolivia (although they do not replace the real, of course!-Grandpas and grandmas to post-).

Jorge is a hard worker. An engineer by training, he lost his job at IFC (the organization with which we are here) there are few months. This is the reason we rented the house, Then they moved into the "apartments" on the front of the house. But do not believe that the rent leaves sewn with gold and silver. In fact, our rent is used exclusively to defray tuition and the oyer their oldest son, Daniel, now at university in La Paz. Education is very important to them, as many Bolivians. This makes it very difficult to make ends meet.

As the misfortune of one is the happiness of others, our many stays at the hospital gave them a boost, Anna-Maria having transformed in guardian to our children and ... the dog!

Anna Maria is, as tradition dictates, a homemaker. Although she would have liked to take care of toddlers in daycare, her husband (and then) had other plans.

Three days a week, besides, she cooks for the greatest pleasure of our taste buds. You should know that medical error is the cause of his fillet of votes. Since then, exorbitant amounts were swallowed up in its health care ... medical errors are seldom recognized here.

More than once Jorge and Anna-Maria encouraged and helped us in difficult times. I think in fact we rely each other. Lucky for us they are there and I also know, from having heard from their mouths, we are the best thing that happened to them in these difficult times!

Otherwise, since a few weeks, friendships are growing: discover the "night life" of Oruro help. Thus, Benjamin, Javier and other oruréniens begin to populate our daily lives ... to our delight!

bet that the return to Quebec will be difficult!
